Funding Sources for County Roads and Bridges

Boards of County Commissioners are faced with financial challenges in managing a transportation system.  Weather, terrain, soils, truck loads, proximity to rock sources, etc can affect the costs of delivering a safe, economical product, that is a road or bridge.

There are different sources of revenue that a Commissioner receives directly monthly from the Oklahoma Tax Commission and others that the Board of County Commissioner must apply for.  The sources of funds shown below are some of the funding/programs/grants made available to counties.
